The Savjibhai korat Educational Charitable Trust started functioning under the leadership of Late Savjibhai Korat, Cabinet Minister (R&D-Gujarat State). The Takshshila Engineering college was established in the academic year 2009 with the approval of the AICTE and aaffiliation with the Gujarat Technological University and the general policy of Govt. of Gujarat to give high priority to technical education.
