About Us

2012: Inaugurated with 246 students enrolled for medical programs like Nursing, Pharmacy and Health Care Economics and Management.

2013: Introduced commerce courses like Finance and Banking.

2014: Formation of Faculty of Medicine led to start of Medical Doctor (MD) program in Georgian language along with Dental and Healthcare-
related courses.

2015: Developed partnerships with international universities.

2016: Formed collaboration with hospitals and clinics as well as launched new campus amenities.

2017: Introduced MBBS course in English language for overseas students. Also, launched modern simulation labs and clinics.

2018: Inception of programs like Veterinary Medicine as well as integrated Master’s courses. Moreover, earned recognition from global
organisations such as WFME, FAIMER, ECFMG.

2021: Became member of EUA - European University Association. Also, joined the Erasmus+ mobility program with 50 + universities.

2022: Integrated Jo Ann Medical Center into its network and retitled as Jo Ann University Hospital, which is presently a teaching hospital for
EU students.

2023: European University was the only private university of Georgia featuring in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings

2024: Earned global recognition from WHO and NMC.
