1943 – During World War II, the Moscow Medical Institute named after I.P. Pavlov was relocated to Ryazan to continue medical
education and research in safer conditions.
1943 – Following the relocation, the institution became the Ryazan Medical Institute, beginning its independent history as a
major medical education center in the region.
1950–1960 – The institute expanded with new departments, research laboratories, and clinical training facilities in cooperation
with regional hospitals.
1970–1980 – Scientific research and postgraduate medical education developed significantly, strengthening the institute’s reputation
across the Soviet Union.
1993 – The institution was officially renamed I. P. Pavlov Ryazan State Medical University, honoring the famous physiologist Ivan Pavlov.
2000 – The university introduced modern medical technologies, expanded international cooperation, and began attracting students
from different countries.
2010 – Educational programs were modernized with simulation centers, advanced research laboratories, and digital learning systems.
Present – I. P. Pavlov Ryazan State Medical University continues to train medical specialists, conduct scientific research,
and serve as one of the leading medical universities in Russia. -
