• Faculty of Dairy Science, Anand, is a pioneer public community for Dairy Technology schooling set up in 1960. The workforce addressed by SMC College of Dairy Science has been perceived as a "Focus of Excellence" which produces qualified dairy experts. The College began Indian Dairy Diploma in 1960 and seeking the requirement for Dairy Professionals, it additionally began B. Sc (Dairy Technology) degree program the following year itself as a piece of the then Institute of Agriculture. With the foundation of Gujarat Agriculture University, the school has been given the situation with "The Faculty of Dairy Science " in 1972. In the year 1989, ICAR-NDDB joint board perceived the school as one of the four National (Regional) Centers for greatness in dairy training. The degree program was changed in 1989 from B. Sc (DT) to B. Tech.(DT). The post-graduate program was begun in 1977. prompting level of M. Sc (dairying) just as Ph. D. Recently, the school is likewise granted as "Best Dairy Science College" for the years 2013 and 2014 by Times Research Group and Earth Research Group individually. The school has a full-fledged multiproduct dairy plant set up in 1994 to give involved preparing to the understudies of SMC College of Dairy Science. The dairy plant is known as Vidya Dairy and it has introduced a limit of taking care of 1 Lakh Liter Milk each Day. The school has marked an MOU with Lund University, Sweden for the trade of understudies and employees. The graduated class of the school has dominated in different assorted fields and are spread everywhere on the world. The school has had a 100% position record since its origin.
